When School is Open – Slow Down!

Remember that small children are often unaware of how long it takes a car to stop and may step off the curb. Be alert near schools and parks and during school hours. Talk to your kids about traffic safety and allow a little extra time for those “quick” trips.

Flashing school zone lights on South Highlands Blvd. for Wiley Elementary School, N. 62nd Ave. for Tapteal Elementary School and Paradise Way for Enterprise Middle School are used to draw attention to school zone signs during times when school children are present and the 20 MPH speed limit is enforced. Please use extra caution when driving through or near school zones.
