Accountant

Under the general direction of the Finance Director, performs professional accounting work in the interpretation/application of complex rules, regulations and financial data. Accounting and administrative duties include accounts receivable, project accounting, forecasting and data analysis, and reconciliation of accounts and cash receipts in accordance with set guidelines. Serves as back-up to the Senior Accountant and Accounting Technician/Accounts Payable.

Monday – Friday/Flex Schedule Option
Full Time/Exempt
Hiring Range: $4,500 – $5,500 month DOQ
Full Range: $4,500 – $6,500 month

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or closely related field plus one year of progressively responsible professional accounting experience. Two years progressively responsible professional accounting experience preferred.

Building Official

Plans, organizes and directs the City’s building inspection and building code implementation and enforcement functions. This is a skilled, technical position requiring extensive knowledge of current state adopted building codes and amendments, construction trades, and City ordinances pertaining to structures, nuisances, and fire safety requirements. Must be able to work with minimal supervision, enforce in a decisive, equitable and conscientious manner the City’s building codes and ordinances.

$5,500 – $8,000 month DOQ

5 years of experience in building code enforcement as a building inspector, plans examiner, or comparable private sector experience. Certification as a Building Inspector and/or Plans Examiner through the ICC. 2 years of work experience in a supervisor or managerial capacity is desired. Seasonal Maintenance Workers

We are accepting applications for Seasonal Maintenance Workers for the Public Works Department.  Job duties include trimming and mowing lawns, replacing, repairing and installing water and sewer mains, routine repair and maintenance of facilities, patching streets, painting crosswalks, cleaning and burning debris in rights-of-way, routine maintenance of storm drainage facilities, and litter patrol.

Position is 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday. Term can be 6+ months.  Starting wage is $13.50 per hour.

Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. 18 years of age.  Possess a valid Washington State driver’s license and maintain an insurable driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively and perform manual activities for sustained periods of time under adverse weather conditions.  Pre-employment drug test and criminal background check is required.
